Contiki and Florence
Hey Guys,
You should check out these Contiki videos on You Tube - gives you a good idea of what a tour with us is like and you can see some of the sights.
Hey Guys,
Here's the hostel in Florence I was telling you about. It's nice, clean, and our experience there was very pleasant. The woman that runs the place makes breakfast for you and brings it to your room. And she's a resident of florence so she knows of all the places to see and all the good places to eat. Florence has the David which is miraculous to see up close. It also has
a church where all the famous dead italians are burried - like Michaelangelo, Verdi, Galilieo, etc. Florence has a market much like the St. Lawrence market where you can buy food, leather goods, and other neat things. If you're going to buy gifts for people you whould buy them here.
If you're thinking about travelling within Europe one of the easiest and cheapest ways is to fly. My travel buddy and I took a chartered flight from Paris to Milan for under 130 Euro and a flight from Rome to Paris for about 100 Euro. Check the websites for Ryanair and easyjet...you'll find flights for dirt cheap...you might even find something for 0 Euro.

Also, another thing you might consider is buying tickets in advance to see the David. You just go on the Museum's website and purchase them from there. The reason for doing that is because there is usually a 3-4 hour line up to see David. There are actually 2 major museums in Florence - the one where David is and another where some famous Boticelli (I think) paintings are. Both have extensive line ups. Usually people get there really early in the morning to line up but to avoid lines...buy your tickets in advance.
